Directed by Alexandra Shiva (How to Dance in Ohio) and produced by Blumhouse and Gidalya Pictures, This is Home is an intimate portrait of four Syrian refugee families arriving in America and struggling to find their footing. Displaced from their homes and separated from loved ones, they are given eight months of assistance from the International Rescue Committee to become self-sufficient.  As they learn to adapt to challenges, including the newly imposed travel ban, their strength and resilience are tested.

After surviving the traumas of war, the families arrive in Baltimore, Maryland and are met with a whole new set of challenges. They attend cultural orientation classes and job training sessions where they must “learn America” – everything from how to take public transportation to negotiating new gender roles.

This Is Home goes beyond the statistics, headlines, and political rhetoric to tell deeply personal stories, putting a human face on the global refugee crisis.

EPIX REACHES LONG-TERM DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH COMCAST TO PROVIDE EPIX PROGRAMMING ACROSS XFINITY TV, ON-DEMAND AND DIGITAL PLATFORMS

EPIX Offers Thousands of Movies, Original Series and Powerful Documentaries

NEW YORK (November 28, 2017) — EPIX, the premium pay TV network owned by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), announced today they have reached a distribution agreement that will make EPIX available on a subscription basis to Comcast’s X1 video customers in early 2018. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

A leader in multiplatform entertainment, EPIX will provide Comcast Xfinity TV subscribers access to its breadth of premium content on a live and on-demand basis, including its critically acclaimed original series Get ShortyBerlin StationGraves and, coming soon, The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair, which will bring Patrick Dempsey back to TV. EPIX programming also includes thousands of popular movies from MGM, Paramount, and Lionsgate including box office hits and such critically acclaimed films as ArrivalTransformers: The Last Knight, The Magnificent Seven, Me Before You, Daddy’s Home, and Fences as well as big movie franchises such as Star TrekMission: ImpossibleRocky, and James Bond, one of Hollywood’s longest-running film franchises.

Renewed for Season Three 

New York, NY – December 6, 2017 – Premium TV network EPIX®, an MGM company, announced today it has renewed its original spy drama Berlin Station for a third season. News of the renewal of the CIA-centric series comes on the heels of the second season finale, which aired Sunday, December 3 at 9 P.M. ET/PT on EPIX.

LOS ANGELES (August 15, 2017) — MGM Television, Eagle Pictures and Barbary Films have started production in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on a 10-part television series event for premium cable network EPIX, an MGM company, based on the bestselling European novel by Joël Dicker, The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair, which has sold more than two million books worldwide and was translated into more than 25 languages. The suspenseful dramatic series stars Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominated actor Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy, Bridget Jones’s Baby) in the title role as Harry Quebert, a literary icon who suddenly finds himself indicted for murder after the body of a young girl is found buried on his property. Marcus Goldman, a successful young novelist who has been mentored by Harry Quebert, will be played by Ben Schnetzer (Snowden, Pride). Jean-Jacques Annaud (Seven Years in Tibet, Black Gold), Director of the Academy Award winning film Black and White in Color , will make his television directorial debut, directing every episode of the series.

The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair takes place in coastal Maine and focuses on Marcus Goldman who is visiting Harry Quebert’s home to find a cure for his writer’s block as his publisher’s deadline looms. Marcus’ plans are suddenly upended when Harry is sensationally implicated in the cold-case murder of Nola Kellergan, a fifteen-year-old girl who has been missing for many years.

Damon Wayans Jr. (New Girl) will play Sgt. Perry Gahalowood, a Maine State Police investigator who is investigating the death of Kellergan. Academy Award nominee Virginia Madsen (Joy, Designated Survivor, Sideways) plays Tamara Quinn, Jenny Quinn’s mother and the owner of a local diner who learns of a secret about Quebert.

Rounding out the cast are Kristine Froseth (Apostle), a newcomer who plays Nola Kellergan, the teenage girl who captivates Harry Quebert and becomes his muse; Colm Feore (House of Cards) as the wealthy and inscrutable Elijah Stern, one of the most powerful men in New England who’s spent his life atoning for a secret past; Josh Close (Person of Interest) plays Luther Caleb, Elijah Stern’s right hand man who suffers from disfiguring scars caused by a horrific attack that happened in his past; Matt Frewer (Timeless) as Reverend Kellergan, Nola’s eccentric father; Connor Price (X Company) as Young Travis Dawn, a rookie cop who falls love with Jenny Quinn, a former prom queen played by Tessa Mossey (The Glass Castle) in her teenage years and by Victoria Clark (Homeland) in her adult years; Craig Eldridge (The Death and Life of John F. The series is produced by MGM Television and Eagle Pictures with MGM serving as the lead studio. Season two of Berlin Station opens in the thick of a New World Order that has taken root and is steadily deepening. In the wake of the Far Right tide sweeping across continental Europe, Germany finds itself on the precipice of a pivotal election. Season two stars Richard Armitage as Daniel Miller, Rhys Ifans as Hector Dejean, Richard Jenkins as Steven Frost, Leland Orser as Robert Kirsch and Michelle Forbes as Valerie Edwards. NEW YORK – May 16, 2017 – Premium cable network EPIX® has set the premiere date for its original series Get Shorty. The 10-episode dark comedy from MGM Television, based in part on the 1990 best-selling novel of the same name by  Elmore Leonard, will debut on EPIX Sunday, August 13 at 10:00PM ET/PT, 9:00PM CT.

The cast, led by Screen Actors Guild Award® and BAFTA TV Award nominee Chris O’Dowd (“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,” Sapphires,  Bridesmaids) and multiple Emmy® winner Ray Romano (“Everybody Loves Raymond,” “Men of a Certain Age,” “Parenthood”), includes Sean Bridgers (“Rectify,” Room); Lidia Porto (Horrible Bosses 2); Megan Stevenson (“Review”); Goya Robles (11:55); Lucy Walters (“Power”) and Carolyn Dodd (The Adventures of Catty Wompus).

O’Dowd plays Miles Daly, a hitman from Nevada who tries to become a movie producer in Hollywood as a means to leave his criminal past behind and win back his recently-estranged family.  There, he meets Rick Moreweather (Romano), a washed up producer of low quality films who is desperately hanging on to the rungs of Hollywood relevancy and begrudgingly becomes Miles’ partner and guide through the maze of show business.  Along with his criminal associate Louis (Bridgers), Miles attempts to keep his worlds from colliding as he balances the demands of filmmaking while keeping the suspicions of the crime ring’s chief – and production bankroll – Amara (Porto) and her dangerous nephew, Yago (Robles) at bay.  Also involved in the production is ambitious studio executive April Adams (Stevenson), who started in the business as Rick’s assistant, as well as Miles’ beloved daughter Emma (Dodd) – despite objections from Miles’ estranged wife, Katie (Walters).

Created for television by Davey Holmes (“Shameless,” “In Treatment,” “Damages”), Get Shorty is executive produced by Holmes and Emmy nominee Allen Coulter (The Sopranos,” “Damages”) who also directs the first episode. Adam Arkin (“The Americans,” “Billions”) directed three episodes of the series and is also a co-executive producer. The series is produced by MGM Television and internationally distributed by MGM.

Get Shorty is the third original series premiere for EPIX, joining its timely, critically-acclaimed drama Berlin Station and comedy Graves (which garnered a Golden Globe nomination for star Nick Nolte).  Both series are slated to return for second seasons in 2017.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (“MGM”) announced last week that it closed a deal to acquire full ownership of EPIX, having reached an agreement to acquire the interests held by joint venture partners Viacom, Paramount and Lionsgate.
