Having had no formal training, Stuart started his career treading the boards opposite James McAvoy in Jamie Lloyd’s Macbeth. He went onto work with Jamie again in Richard II and then in Rupert Goold’s adaptation of The Hunt opposite Tobias Menzies.

His television credits including Outlander, Clique, London Kills, Baptiste and The Chemistry of Death.

2022 saw him star in Steven Knight’s Rogue Heroes opposite Jack O’Connell, Connor Swindells and Dominic West. He is currently shooting series 2.
