Sonya Walger appears in GET SHORTY as “Lila,” who represents the LA wing of a deadly drug cartel. In contrast to her Nevada counterparts, she is corporate and cleanly efficient, but no less deadly. When Lila pushes Amara around, the conflict turns bloody.


Sonya Walger plays the head of the L.A. wing of the cartel in Season 2 of the EPIX Original Series Get Shorty. Sonya continues to record the second season of her podcast Bookish with Sonya Walger while recurring on the show and is currently starring in Andrew Niccol’s thriller Anon opposite Clive Owen on Netflix and in the coming-of- age drama Departures opposite Maisie Williams. Sonya is perhaps best known for her work on Shonda Rhimes’ hit show The Catch on ABC, and for Lost as Penny Widmore, for which she garnered a Saturn Award nomination for her performance. Other credits include a recurring role on NBC’s Parenthood, and appearances on Power, Transparent, Scandal and The Leftovers.  Her stage appearances include Frost/Nixon on Broadway.
