Simon Maxwell

Simon Maxwell is Head of International Drama at Channel 4, where he’s launched and spearheaded the channel’s co-production strategy, commissioning a range of dramas including the smash hit Humans, Born to Kill and Philip K Dick’s Electric Dreams, as well as Kiss Me First by Bryan Elsley, Jerusalem by Bathsheba Doran, Chimerica by Lucy Kirkwood, and Beau Willimon’s The First, starring Sean Penn.

 

Simon was previously Head of Scripted for Red Arrow Entertainment (where he devised and executive produced the 13-part thriller American Odyssey for NBC and BBC Two in the UK) and Head of TV and Film for Greenroom Entertainment (where he established an ambitious slate of feature film and TV projects including Rogue). He created and produced the two BBC comedy series Fresh and Off the Hook and executive produced the Paramount feature film Killing Bono, which he co-wrote with Dick Clement & Ian La Frenais.
