Jessica de Gouw stars in PENNYWORTH season two as “Melanie Troy,” a military orphan, who became a woman of the world far too young. She married a dominating older man, but with her wry intelligence and a sardonic sense of humor, she’s no submissive and gives as good as she gets. Introduced to Alfie as the wife of his former SAS Captain, the two kindred spirits have an immediate connection.


Jessica De Gouw most recently appeared in VIENNA BLOOD, an ambitious costume drama produced by Endor Productions’, working opposite Matthew Beard and in 4 part SBS series THE HUNTING, opposite Sam Reid, Richard Roxburgh, Pamela Rabe and Asher Keddie. Jessica will next be seen on Network Ten in THE SECRETS SHE KEEPS produced by Lingo Pictures, a six part series adaptation of Michael Robotham’s novel where she will be working along side Laura Carmichael and in another leading role alongside Ewen Leslie and James Cromwell in the 6 part ABC mini series OPERATION BUFFALO, which explores the mystery surrounding the nuclear testing in Maralinga back in the 50’s. Jessica has just wrapped on the feature film adaptation of Leah Purcell’s award winning play THE DROVERS WIFE along side Benedict Hardie, Sam Reid and Leah Purcell, who also directed the feature.

 

In 2018 Jessica appeared in acclaimed ABC telemovie RIOT alongside Damon Herriman. Prior to that she starred in two seasons of the award-winning WGN series UNDERGROUND, executive produced by Akiva Goldsman and John Legend, the show broke records as the most-watched program on the network, it also screened on Australia’s Stan. Additionally, she played a recurring role in Billy Ray’s Amazon series THE LAST TYCOON opposite Matt Bomer, Lily Collins and Kelsey Grammer. Other TV credits include Greg Berlanti’s popular CW series ARROW as the DC Comic character “The Huntress”. Jessica co-starred in the Australian miniseries DEADLINE GALLIPOLI alongside Sam Worthington for Foxtel and played the co-lead opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers in DRACULA for NBC. Her earlier Australian TV credits include THE MYSTERY OF A HANSOM CAB, TRICKY BUSINESS, CROWNIES and UNDERBELLY.

 

Jessica’s film credits include OTHERLIFE directed by Ben C Lucas, THESE FINAL HOURS written and directed by Zak Hilditch, THE REZORT opposite Dougray Scott and directed by Steve Barker, and CUT SNAKE opposite Alex Russell and Sullivan Stapleton for director Tony Ayres. Jessica recently shot GRETEL AND HANSEL alongside Sophia Lillis and Alice Krige and directed by Oz Perkins.
