Iskra Lawrence

As a self-care expert and champion of body diversity, British model and activist Iskra Lawrence is devoted to improving the image of women in the media and encouraging body positivity. She has appeared on the covers of SELF and Women’s Health Magazines and has given an empowering TEDx talk on the importance of self-care, education and the need to abandon society’s unrealistic beauty standards. She was named one of the BBC’s 100 Women of 2016, and serves as Aerie’s #AerieReal Role Model, appearing in only un- retouched photos. She is a Brand Ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association and creator of the NEDA Inspires Award, an honor given to a company or individual striving to make a difference by safely promoting body diversity and self-love. In 2016 she founded a campaign called “Iskra’s Army” through which she visits middle schools across England, and speaks with students about important self-care topics like body image. She has over 3 million followers on Instagram, with whom she regularly shares empowering personal imagery. Iskra has walked runways this past NYFW for Chromat and Christian Siriano.
