Antigone is Livia’s best friend, ex-slave and closest ally. Raised in Livius’ house she follows Livia wherever she goes, enjoying a close relationship with Livia’s sons. Skilled in the use of herbs and medicines, Antigone has the power to either kill or cure. Her desire to protect Livia and her sons from harm is a moral cause she will always fight for. Antigone is strong-willed, which causes friction. As they grow up and make difficult decisions to help Livia survive, Antigone starts to question her role in Livia’s life. Can she really trust that Livia will look after her come what may?
