Aaron Lubin has been Edward Burns’ producing partner at Marlboro Road Gang Productions for the past 20 years, recently completing Burns’ 13th feature, Beneath the Blue Suburban Skies, which premiered to outstanding reviews at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival.
Lubin also recently executive produced with Burns the finale episode of Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories for Universal Television and Apple TV, which premiered in March on Apple’s highly celebrated new platform.
The project reunited Burns and Lubin with Spielberg, who executive produced Burns’ police drama Public Morals for TNT, which Lubin executive produced. The series, which premiered in 2015 to outstanding reviews and was “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, also starred Michael Rapaport and the late Brian Dennehy.
Lubin and Burns recently completed Burns’ coming-of-age romance, Summertime, having premiered the film at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival, and set to be released in early 2021.
