Alex Sawyer appears in GET SHORTY as “David Oumou,” an earnest actor working an unglamorous day job, until a shocking murder bring him attention and makes him a breakout star.


Alex Sawyer was scouted in a production of Joe Penhall’s Blue/Orange. Alex Sawyer’s career began by starring as Alfie Lewis in the Nickelodeon series, House of Anubis, which he appeared in up to and inclusive of the third season as well as the TV movie special, Touchstone of Ra.

 

Sawyer co-starred as Michael Hoffman in Eve, as Oscar Bergeres on One’s Father Brown, both for the BBC and appeared as Kofi, the novice monk on Starz’ The White Princess. Sawyer began 2017 appearing as one the players in the 50th anniversary revival of Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead at London’s renowned Old Vic Theatre, directed by David Leveaux and featuring Daniel Radcliffe and Joshua McGuire. Sawyer appeared in the critically acclaimed Netflix/Channel 4 series The End of the F***ing World as Topher. As a musician, Sawyer has released the singles “Relapse” and “Sunlite.”
